Bar Code
The Square register POS application is all about making it easier to operate your business. In order to speed up the check out process you are able to associate a bar code number with each item in your system so that you can quickly scan that bar code and add it to a new order. This feature is great for retail shops with a large amount of items. Simply scan a bar code with any of the recommended and supported bar code scanners listed below to use this feature.
There are 2 bar code reader connection types available. There is a USB version available for use with Square stand. You have to use the Square stand for the USB bar code scanner to work with your Square stand. There is also a Bluetooth scanner available for wireless connection to your square application. Please note you can only pair one square device to one Bluetooth bar code scanner at a time.
Unfortunately, the Square application does not have a built in bar code generator or label printer. We've got a great solution for this. The affordable Brother QL7100 allows you to use WiFi to print bar codes with the free brother desktop or mobile applications.
